Interbank GIRO

Interbank GIRO (IBG) is an electronic fund transfer payment system which allows transfer of funds between financial institutions without raising physical supporting documents such as cheques. This service reduces the crediting time between accounts especially out-of-town transactions. The transactions allowed by IBG are as follows:

• Fund transfer or debit bank account of up to a maximum of RM1,000,000 per transaction over the counter (OTC).
• Fund transfer to bank accounts of participating banks.
• Financing repayments and credit card payments of participating banks.

Fee & Charges

1. For manufacturing sector, sales turnover not exceeding RM50 mil or full-time employees not exceeding 200 workers; for services and other sectors, sales turnover not exceeding RM20 mil or full-time employees not exceeding 75 workers
   

Note: *6% GST is paid by Bank Rakyat.
