1. How do I check whether the agent I'm visiting is a Registered Bank Agent (EBB) of Bank Rakyat/Rakyat CARE Bank Rakyat?
  • You may check through :

7. What should I do in the event of an agent's dishonesty / negligence?
  • You should:
    • Lodge report at the nearest Bank Rakyat Branch
    • Lodge report by calling Bank Rakyat Contact Centre at 1-300-80-5454
8. How do I know whether my transaction is successful?
  • A transaction receipt is issued for every successful real-time transaction.
9. Can I open an account through Rakyat Care Bank Rakyat?
  • No. Account opening can only be performed at Bank Rakyat Branch.
10. Can I make cash transfers to other banks through Rakyat Care Bank Rakyat?
  • At the moment it is not allowed.
11. Can I make cash withdrawals on behalf of others?
  • No. Such transactions can only be performed using the cardholder's MyKad fingerprint as verification.
12. Can I make bill payment transaction on behalf of others?
  • Yes, such transactions can be performed using cash or your Bank Rakyat ATM card. ATM cards of other banks are not permitted.
13. What should be brought along when performing banking transaction?
  • Please refer to the table below:

14. Is it safe for me to make transactions through Rakyat CARE Bank Rakyat? What is Bank Rakyat's action if the agent misused my deposits?
  • Yes, your transactions are secured. All transactions are real-time using terminals and secured lines. In the event that an agent misused your deposits, the agent will be subjected to disciplinary action and subsequently terminated from being a Bank Rakyat agent.
15. What should I do if there are fake agents offering deposit transactions to the public?
  • You should:
    • Lodge report at the nearest Bank Rakyat Branch
    • Lodge report by calling Bank Rakyat Contact Centre at 1-300-88-1BANK (12265)
16. Can an agent come to my house to perform a transaction?
  • No. Bank Rakyat does not allow the POS terminal to be taken out of an agent's premise. Transactions are only allowed within the agent's business premise.
17. What are the operating hours of Rakyat CARE Bank Rakyat?
  • Operating hours are from 8.00 am to 9.30 pm, 7 days a week. However, the operating hours depends on the business hours of Rakyat CARE Bank Rakyat.
18. Can an account passbook be updated through Rakyat CARE Bank Rakyat?
  • No, updates of an account passbook can only be performed at Bank Rakyat Branch only.
